I came across this new (to me, at least) coffee place on Victory Boulevard at Tyrone in Van Nuys, California. I often visit Starbucks, merely because they are so ubiquitous, but Java Groove provides a nice atmosphere, great coffee and, most importantly for the Valley, plenty of free parking!They serve pastries, Belgian Waffles, Italian Panini's and, in this day of "always on" connectivity, they offer Free WiFi for all your computing needs. Open until 8 pm nightly

I agree. This place you'd almost not expect to find there, nice and tucked away. But its a great spot and has outside seating :)
